Business Models | Processes | Digitalization | Logistics | Automation | Bonding Technology | Strategies

In the primarily technology-driven evolution of timber construction, which in recent years has mainly been at the product and manufacturing level, the development of construction and business management principles adapted specifically for timber construction and the associated easy-to-use tools has for a long time not been given sufficient attention or has been completely neglected. Similarly, in the area of process optimization, although an enormous increase in efficiency has been achieved in terms of capacities in the production companies and supplier industries of wood construction, these processes on site – at the construction site – have only been considered in rudimentary form and have therefore not yet been subjected to optimization. If timber construction can get a better grip on its process costs, if a fair overall assessment is made over the service life of a structure and if the ecological advantages are included, the upward trend of recent years will continue and WOOD will become the building material of the 21st century.
