Schall.Holz.Bau III – The comprehensive research project on sound insulation in timber construction
The Schall.Holz.Bau III research project is one of the largest and most comprehensive series of tests on sound insulation in timber construction. The aim was to develop calculation model approaches that take into account both the sound insulation comfort classes according to ÖNORM B8115-5 and a far-reaching and practical degree of prefabrication.
Jörg Koppelhuber was once again able to contribute his expertise in timber construction process management to Schall.Holz.Bau III. System variants were categorized in terms of construction operations and construction management and optimized in terms of prefabrication and construction processes. Furthermore, it was shown that the use of “dry screed systems” plays a significant role in optimizing construction operations and construction economics.
